Roar!

The ghostly blue fire violently blazed upon the river, projecting the colossal form of Ghost Wolf, towering several feet high, striding along the river, its black fur whipped into a frenzy by the cutting river wind.

“Your master has been dishonest, claiming not to go against any life!”

On the river, a white glow fled in desperation, within which could faintly be seen a striking woman with a snake tail in place of legs, clutching within her arms a creature covered in red scales struggling fiercely while brandishing a long spear.

“Our young master only said that he would not kill, but didn’t say anything about playing.

The hefty white wolf, moving with graceful ease, was amused by the sight of the powerful demon, showing no hint of resistance, but only fleeing. Pathetic, it wasn’t even able to catch up!

In the sky above, the Golden Scaled Flood Dragon was concealed within the clouds, preventing the large demon from daring to retaliate, leaving it no choice but to flee for its life.

Hundreds of years of fighting had honed the Snake Madame’s sense of danger. Untouched by the two wolves, she had a feeling that if she paused for a moment, her life could be taken.

As she chased along the river, just as the distance widened and she thought she might escape to safety, shedding the feeling of a lethal crisis looming down her spine.

The rushing river, due to its geographical bend, forms a slightly gentle shallow beach. Within the beach, a group of wild horses was drinking water, which the Snake Madam didn’t pay any attention to.

Because with her appearance, the entire herd of wild horses was on the run. A mere whiff of her presence, even unintentional, was enough to frighten the tigers and leopards of the mountain forest to the point of losing control of their bowels.

The Snake Madam caught sight of the herd of wild horses out of the corner of her eye and prepared to tread past these shallows, directly into the next segment of the river flow. However, as soon as she leapt from the river, an adverse premonition arose within her.

She looked down abruptly, immediately noticing the piebald steed still drinking amongst the scattering herd. Excelling in stature and vigor even amongst the wild horses, it was extraordinarily robust and brimming with strength, displaying a coat mixed with numerous colors but predominantly covered with black, like dark clouds stepping on the snow. However, its mane, tail, and the hair on its feet were white as snow.

“It’s you!”

Though seemingly a normal wild horse, the Snake Madam recognized it at first glance. Lost memories, which were buried for hundreds of years, churned within her mind. Before her worthless husband, Hongxi, commandeered the Bailang River, the master of this river was a horse.

This wasn’t just any horse, but a Dragon Horse, complete with dragon scales. Of course, it was not of the same status as the True Dragon Heavenly Phoenix, which were magical beings of the universes’ creation. It was just a manifestation of river spirit, a mere common Dragon Horse, and its dragon scales had nothing to do with the Dragon Clan.

An inconsequential Water God, who governed the river course, was determined to be in a dire situation when his territory was eyed by a Dragon Seed with a proper lineage. But she remembered that this Water God was supposedly killed.

A high-pitched neigh resounded. The steed, which was drinking water just a moment back, had raised its head now. Staring at her with sharp, black eyes full of a playful intention, it lifted its foreleg high and stomped heavily on the river’s surface.

Boom!

It appeared to be an ordinary wild horse. Not even the Snake Madam, a large demon herself, could discern any special characteristics about it when she first saw it. However, when it stomped on the river’s surface, it was as though stepping on solid ground, without a hint of sinking into the water.

Even though the river beneath the steed’s hooves remained mirror-smooth, lifting half of its body while in front of the leaping Snake Madam, the gushing river reversed its course, forming a towering water curtain as high as a hundred feet, seemingly connecting heaven and earth, effectively blocking the path of the large demon.

Seeing the water curtain blocking off all of her escape routes, Snake Madam let out a dreadful scream. For in that moment, the lethal sense of crisis from behind reached its peak.

Zng-

A radiant beam of light fell from the sky, striking across her waist just as Snake Madam crashed into the water curtain.

Puchi!

The fine snake scales, mixed with spurting fresh blood, stained more than half of the collapsing water curtain red. The fleeing demon was tragically wounded and was forced to transform into her original form — a thick, snake body that was now separated into two segments. The snake’s torso was so massive that the severed part alone had a diameter of several feet.

Awoo-

An excited howling echoed in the wind. The soul-burning Ghost Fire engulfed the half-snake body, sizzling on contact.

The steed, which originally appeared no different from a normal wild horse, revealed its true form. Standing eight feet eight inches tall, with a long neck and accompanied with fringe hair, when it ran, the wind blew its hair revealing the intricate scales decorating its body.

“Mother!”

Experiencing genuine danger for the first time and feeling malice from all sides, Dragon Child wailed in tears, his voice filled with utter helplessness and fear. The Snake Madam, writhing in pain, was unable to help her son even if she wanted to. He fell to the ground, gripping the spiritual spear in his hand, staring blankly at the Dragon-Horse rushing towards him.

Stomp-

The giant iron hoof ruthlessly stomped on Dragon Child’s half- transformed head. In the moment of contact, the Dragon Child, a being of good lineage, had his skull caved in, his eyes burst, his brain splattered, and he died on the spot.

“My child!”

Engulfed in ethereal blue ghost fire, the now halved snake demon let out a wretched wail, despair seeping from her voice. She had settled in the Water Mansion, indulged the useless Water God for how long before finally giving birth to a Dragon Seed..
