Chapter 847 Four Pillars: Two Packets of Information
"What the…" After getting an idea on the second packet of information Sellifer gave him before they parted ways, Valyr was left at a loss for words.
Shaking his head for a bit to make sure he wasn't hallucinating, the young man focused his attention on it once more as he began to rummage through his treasure trove of memories.
Fortunately, it did not take long for him to find the information he wanted, a slight frown appearing on his face as he glossed over the second category once more.
"I have a good idea of what Sellifer is trying to aim to do with this thing," muttered Valyr to himself, somewhat thankful for the fact that Hal and Vera were far away from him at the moment.
Continuing to think about the information he had pulled up, the young man soon shook his head with a wry smile. "I guess she also thought that I would have high chances of succeeding in the end."
Though Valyr had a good amount of knowledge on the matter thanks to his experiences from his previous life, what Sellifer aimed to do with the information she gave Valyr was something that was incredibly hard to come by.
Being known by multiple names across multiple civilizations, what she was aiming to do was generally known throughout the universe as Concept Impartation.
From the name itself, one would take the comprehension of their concept and separate the purest parts away from it for someone else to comprehend.
Of course, there were multiple criteria both sides would have to fulfill in order for the impartation to be successful.
For one, both sides had to have similar comprehensions in terms of concepts. If anything, the only difference would be the depth and clarity of their comprehension.
With how both Sellifer and Valyr were both delving the path of Azure Energy, the two of them satisfied this criterion without a problem.
Aside from that, the one doing the impartation must be willing to impart their comprehension to the recipient in the first place, considering that they were basically cutting a chunk of their comprehension off in the process.
Naturally, this criterion had also been fulfilled by the two, with Sellifer giving the young man the understandings she had comprehended out of her own accord.
As for the final criterion, that would land on the side of the recipient where they needed to have a mental fortitude strong enough to withstand the entire process.
After all, even though the one giving away their comprehension would make sure that the information they gave was free of any personal bias, there were still times where a few tidbits would sneak in.
In that scenario, those tidbits would try to force themselves unto the recipient's understanding, possibly making the recipient's current understanding take a turn for the worse.
Because of that, Concept Impartation was rarely done throughout the universe.
Even though the minimum requirement for one to start imparting their pure concepts onto others was to become a Myth-level being, many beings only chose to take such actions as a last resort.
With that, Sellifer deciding to impart her own concepts onto Valyr had definitely caught the latter off guard.
'I wonder what spurred her to make this decision?' thought the young man to himself, deciding to set it aside for the meantime as he looked through the first packet of information in greater detail.
Having taken a cursory glance earlier, Valyr already knew what he was getting into now that he was going through the information in greater depth.
Faintly adorning a smile on his face, the young man committed all of the information he got from Sellifer to memory, especially those talking about the stages of Azure Energy.
In fact, she had even attached detailed information on the Azure Sign and Azure Echo stage, prompting the young man to wonder how she'd gotten to such a level of detail in such a short time.
Aside from that, the first packet also contained the memory he viewed alongside Sellifer, causing him to recall all of the comments she'd made during the time they watched it.
Though, rather than stop after parting ways with the Serpent Maiden, the memory surprisingly continued after Sellifer entered the temple to fix the method the Serpent Maiden had given her.
Watching it all unfold from a bystander's perspective, the young man witnessed Sellifer bring her Azure Energy up to the Azure Wisp stage, only to use it soon after to complete the method of atavism she'd been given.
"Wow…" Witnessing Sellifer undergo atavism through the memory, the young man was left at a loss for words after seeing the woman transform into a large azure serpent before his very eyes.
Sensing the strong aura of mana and Shadow Energy emanating from the woman's body the moment she succeeded in her atavism, Valyr was soon caught off guard after sensing an influx of information enter his mind all of a sudden.
Briefly focusing his attention on the new piece of information he received, the young man's eyes widened in surprise, especially after he'd realized that the information contained methods on how a human could achieve atavism as well.
'I'll have to take a look through everything in greater detail sometime later,' Valyr inwardly muttered to himself, getting the feeling that there might be more he could uncover from the first type of information Sellifer sent him.
Feeling like he had gone through enough of the first packet, the young man eventually set his sights on the second packet.
Though, after mulling over it for a bit, the young man decided to head back to the temporary camp first.
Activating [Flight of the Azure Dragon] to reduce travel time, Valyr then sent a message to the two through the party chat to give them a heads-up.
After obtaining responses from them in return, it was only then did the young man make his way back, arriving at the rooftop within a few minutes.
Dispelling the movement skill, the young man looked up at the sky for a bit, keeping in mind how much time there was before sunset.
Then, with a calming breath, he entered his tent before sitting cross-legged on top of his bed.
Closing his eyes, he then opened the second packet of information, only to feel like his consciousness was being brought to another place altogether.

Sensing that his consciousness was brought into a world of darkness yet again, the young man looked around as he thought about how he would go about accepting the concepts Sellifer had shared with him.
But before he could even begin doing so, a familiar voice echoed behind his back as she let out a chuckle.
"To be honest, I should've expected this the very moment we parted ways."
"But I do have to say… it's nice to see you again so soon, Valyr.
